I am a professor of theology and bioethics, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, but now calling Arkansas home. I work at Harding University, and when I have occasion to write, my interests focus primarily on medical and neuro-ethics, rapid advances in technology, and the necessary Christian responses to these pressing concerns. Additionally, my attention is often drawn to the topics of Scripture and ecclesial matters for the Churches of Christ. In all my writing, I hope to balance Christian devotion and a sense of realism.
I am a graduate of Baylor University, with a PhD in Theology and Ethics, specializing in Bioethics. I also attended Harding University and Harding School of Theology, where I attained degrees in Christian studies as well as Computer Science. Beyond my studies, I am also an avid movie consumer and will gladly argue with you the merits of 50s Hollywood musicals or the decline of narrative filmmaking.
